Top Aberrations

This page contains a collection of the Top Italian aberrations that I've come across.

#1 - Mac and Cheese Pizza
November 15, 2010 - Photo taken in a corporate Cafeteria, in Vancouver

#2 - Meat, Macaroni and Cheese Loaf
Jan 10, 2011 - Sold in Canada

#3 - Cranberry Chianti Wine Kit
January 6, 2011 - Sold in Canada

#4 - Poutine Pizza
November 27, 2010 - Photo taken on Commercial Drive, Vancouver

#5 - Italian White Tapioca Rice Bread
Feb 01, 2011 - Sold in Canada
What makes this Italian? Is it the floured top?

#6 - The "Parmesan" Shaker
The parmesan shaker is a must in every pizza place in North America.
Yet, there is no such thing as 'parmesan' - the powdery "cheese" that never goes bad!
In Italy, you will find freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano or at least Grana Padano.
And it's for pasta, not for pizza.

#7 - Beef Lasagna Casserole (and Garlic Toast)
October 22, 2011 - Photo taken outside a famous coffee shop, in Vancouver.

#8 - The Lightest Coffee Ever Made
November 20, 2010 - Photo taken in a UBC cafe, in Vancouver

#9 - Pane Italian dell'Aglio
January 23, 2011 - Baked "in store" by a popular Canadian supermarket chain.
Aside from the mixed languages and incorrect grammar ("Italian Bread of the garlic"),
nobody would buy pre-cut, pre-buttered bread in Italy, especially French bread!

#10 - Antipasto - Serve with crackers, nachos or chips
February 6, 2011 - Sold in Canada
